Dear Praying and Supporting Friends,

Ministry News

Praise the Lord the move to the new location has gone very well.  The attitude in our church has improved and we have had record attendances in our new location.  We have been able to get out 7,000 flyers advertising our new location.  We are praying God will use these to touch hearts and bring people in.   We are waiting for the weather to warm up so that we can have baptism.  We were able to purchase a blow-up swimming pool for a church baptistry and we have a young man, Ryan, waiting for the warmer weather so he can be baptized.

We were blessed to be able to help challenge and equip a group of 40 people in Londrina who are looking into homeschooling part-time (after school hours) or full time, as well as Sunday school teachers. It was an amazing event and we were thrilled to help answer questions and encourage people as they help the next generation grow in the Lord.

We were blessed to host a group of 12 young men and women the first two weeks of August for a missions trip. It was a great trip and we were very excited to have 6 Brazilians place their faith in Christ during the group’s visit.  We have had one of the teens who got saved already come back to visit the church.  We were also excited that God used the trip to confirm God’s call on one man’s life to be a missionary in Brazil.

If any of your churches are interested in bringing a group down here to Brazil we would love to host your trip.  We have enough room for a small group to stay at our church/ home facilities and we also have a hotel nearby as well if that would be a better option. Due to new laws, a passport is required but you no longer need a visa.

Family News

Rebekah had dengue fever since our last letter.  That really knocked her down for a while.  Rebekah was ill for a month but Praise the Lord her health has improved greatly and she seems to be doing well now.  Thank you for all the prayers for our family.  We could not do God Work without your prayers.

Our sons, along with their future spouses, joined the group that came down to Brazil.  It was a blessing to be with them once again.  They used the opportunity to make this a survey trip and to show their future wives the country they are called to.  Praise the Lord each of their young ladies loved the country and are looking forward to returning someday as missionary wives.  Each of our sons preached one of the services and taught in the Jr. Church.  The trip was a great time of fellowship and service.

In His Service,
Bryan and Rebekah Johnson

Would you consider adding us to your e-mail prayer letter list. My daughter feels called to Brazil and wants to learn more about the work there.
