Dear Praying and Supporting Friends,

Ministry News
We praise the Lord for your prayers. We are back in Brazil. This is our 16th year serving in Brazil and we are excited to be back. We had concerns because of my expired Brazilian passport. Of course we also had to have the negative covid test within 72 hours of our flight. God worked it all out and we arrived on Jan. 9th. Rebekah was able to witness to a 16 year old girl, Brenda, on our flight. Pray that she will accept Christ.

The church is doing fantastic. We had a great welcome back. There are several new members as well. We are enjoying getting acquainted with our people. We are very excited about what God has for our church this year.

Upon our return, one of our members arranged for us to go and visit her extended family to present the gospel. They live straight up the side of one of the many mountains here in Sao Paulo. We did get up to them and shared the gospel with 8 women who had gathered. After we shared the gospel we found that two of them had already been saved. The other 6 women have a deep background of Spiritism, a bizarre form of demon and spirit worship. They did ask lots of questions, but were not ready to trust Christ yet. Pray for us, as they have requested we return and have another “service” with them. Pray God will soften their hearts and open their eyes to their need.

We would like to thank all of you for the Christmas gifts this year. God was so good to us. We were concerned about how we would meet our needs financially as lockdowns hit, but through you, God provided. God is good all the time.

We have started two weekly podcasts and youtube channels. The first “Building Families in the Faith” is about the family and is available in English and Portuguese. The second one is “The Bible in History” also available in English. Feel free to subscribe to both. You can find the links at our website www.Johnsons2brazil.com

MBIB
We asked you to pray for our missionary, Irani. She had broken her foot. She is doing very well and despite her setback she has managed to continue to pass out food bags and disciple people she has won to the Lord through this lockdown. She started this year by passing out 155 sacks of food, Bibles and discipleship material.

Be in prayer for Missionary X going to a creative access country. He is currently at 50% support. Pray that we will be able to help him raise his missing support so that he can leave for the field this year. He is an amazing soul winner and will do a great job where God is sending him.

Family News
We have returned officially as empty nesters. All three of our sons were married in the last eight months. We praise the Lord for their choice of wives.

Prayer Requests
One of our goals this year is to launch an online radio station. In Sao Paulo there are no available radio lines so online is our only option. Pray that God will help us find the programming we need. We feel this would be a great way to reach out to far more people with the gospel.

In His Service,

Bryan and Rebekah Johnson
São Caetano do Sul, SP, Brazil
